Compression wear shirts and pants are always a plus. You’ll be crawling, jumping, running, getting wet, and rolling through a lot of different things and the less there is to snag on obstacles or turf the better. Cotton is the nemesis of obstacle races!

You should receive a link to your waiver via email, or on our event page. Here is a direct link

Before each race we post specific rules for the event. (Example) You are responsible for knowing the rules, especially if you are competing to win one of our races.

Volunteers are what make our races possible! We’d love your help. Please visit this page and leave us a way to get in touch with you about our volunteer needs.

We would love to talk. Go to this page and leave us a message. One of our team will reach out to you shortly after.

We don’t believe in nickel and diming for parking, bag check, insurance, ticket fees, etc. like almost every other race. Yep- pay your ticket and you’re all set. See how we compare.

Race day shirts, which are notoriously low-cost and low-quality, increase registration costs for our racers and decrease profits for the charity we are supporting.

We list the charities we support on our race pages. We support our charities financially by giving a percentage of net proceeds, through sponsorships so more people can see and meet them on race day, and through media exposure via advertisements and a social presence.

We believe that any company which aspires to be part of their community needs to give back to that community– and each of our races does just that.

Yes we are! Both CerusRuk and CerusLuv will send qualified racers to the North American Obstacle Racing Championships (NORAM) and World Championships (OCRWC)

In 2019 each of our events will send the following qualifiers:

CerusRuk- Competitive Wave Only:

Top 3 Men + Top 3 Women Qualify for Pro/Elite Waves of NORAM 2019 and OCRWC 2019

The Next 10 Men + The Next 10 Women (Places 4-13 of each) qualify for the Age Group Waves of NORAM 2019 and OCRWC 2019

That’s 26 Total Slots- 13 Male and 13 Female. Remember you can only qualify in competitive waves and we are a mandatory obstacle completion race so you are much less likely to qualify without your band.

CerusLuv- Competitive Wave Only:

Top 3 Men + Top 3 Women Qualify for Pro/Elite Waves of NORAM 2020 and OCRWC 2019

The Next 10 Men + The Next 10 Women (Places 4-13 of each) qualify for the Age Group Waves of NORAM 2020 and OCRWC 2019

That’s 26 Total Slots- 13 Male and 13 Female. Remember you can only qualify in competitive waves and we are a mandatory obstacle completion race so you are much less likely to qualify without your band.

In the competitive waves of CerusRuk, racers are required to wear a pack weight (20lbs for Women and 30lbs for Men). The weight is measured from the shoulders back. That means you can still wear a weight vest, however none of the weight on the front counts towards your weight requirement.

Competitive racers in CerusRuk are required to bring their pack weight through the course and on certain obstacles (namely rigs and walls) they will be allowed to remove their weight before picking it up and continuing on the course.

Essentially CerusRuk is an extended heavy carry for competitive racers. Recreational racers have no weight requirements and may wear as little or as much as they choose.

We track the time of all competitive racers who finish with and without their bands. Bands can only be kept if you successfully complete every obstacle.

If you complete the race without your band- your official time will receive a “penalty” that makes it slower than the last racer who crosses with their band.

Example: You are the first to finish the race in 30 minutes but do so without your band. The last banded finisher completes in 60 minutes. Your official time would be adjusted by 30:01 to 60:01 placing you as the first non band finisher. Other racers who cross the finish line without their band would also receive the same 30:01 time penalty.

Scoring For Competitive Team Standings – (only competitive wave racers results will be used)The top seven racers from each team will be used for Team Scoring purposes.

The top five runners are the “scoring” members and the remaining two have the important job of displacing the scorers on opposing teams. Teams must have at least 5 runners to be included in team standings.

The team standings will be scored by assigning a point value for the place a runner finishes in. If a runner finishes first, he/she will earn 1 point. Finishing 55th would earn 55 points. Lowest score wins. A perfect score is 15 points, with the top five runners occupying the first five finishing positions.

Runners who do not have a full team are removed from the results for team scoring.
