Trainer Profile and Specialties
Richard Leeper, Head Trainer
Richard Leeper is the Vice President of Operations and Head Trainer of Cerus Fitness. He is a seasoned and extremely experienced athlete specializing in OCR, Speed, Stamina and Endurance including 5k-10K, triathlons, short to Ultra distance OCR.
He is passionate about educating people on how food and fitness can lead to a higher quality of life, no matter where they are at in their fitness journey. Regardless of whether you want to be an elite athlete or simply the healthiest you can be, Richard’s expertise and customized programs will help you get there!
Personal Training Hours: Monday 12pm-2pm, Tuesday 10am-12pm, Wednesday 10am-12pm, Thursday 12pm-2pm
Rea Kolbl, Pro Trainer
Rea Kolbl is a professional obstacle course racer and a member of the Spartan Pro Team. She’s the current Spartan Ultra World Champion, 2x World’s Toughest Mudder champion, and undefeated at endurance OCR for race distances 30 miles or longer.
She loves outdoor adventure, multisport projects in the mountains, and exploring the world self-propelled. When she isn’t traveling for races you can find her trail running, mountain or road biking, skiing, and hiking.

Nicole Mericle, Pro Trainer
Nicole Mericle is a professional endurance and obstacle racing athlete. Nicole began her running career at Rice University competing in multiple distances including 1500m and 5000m. During her professional career Nicole has garnered international recognition recently as the current Spartan World Champion and 3X World Champion of OCR 3K World Championships.
Dave Gaudette, Pro Trainer
Dave Gaudette has been boxing since 1967. He earned the New Hampshire Amateur Light Weight Championship title in 1969, and was the Southern New England Amateur Junior Welterweight Champion in 1971. Dave was president and captain of the Stonehill College Boxing Club in North Easton, Massachusetts from 1968 to 1972.
Dave learned the art of boxing and training boxers under the tutelage of trainers like Willie Lafond, Angelo Dundee (Ali’s Trainer), and Goody Petronelli. He also served as sparring partner to the World Champion “Marvelous” Marvin Haggler.
Owner of Boulder’s Front Range Boxing Academy Dave earned his Master’s Degree in Comparative East/West Philosophy from the University of Colorado and a Colorado Elementary Teaching Certificate. He also worked as an assistant coach for the University of Colorado Buffaloes from 1998 to 2003 under legendary speed, strength and conditioning coach, E.J. “Doc” Kreis using boxing to enhance player’s timing, hand/eye coordination, balance, footwork and power. Dave has trained and managed a number of amateur and professional boxers. Since 1975,
